Today, our driver will greet you at Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport and embark on a scenic journey to Barkot. En route, we will visit the revered Shiv Mandir and the breathtaking Kempty Fall. Upon arrival in Barkot, check into your hotel and unwind.

Barkot, a picturesque town nestled on the banks of the Yamuna River, serves as a gateway to the revered Yamunotri Dham. The town boasts stunning Himalayan vistas and is surrounded by lush green forests, making it a nature lover's paradise.

Today, after an early morning breakfast, drive to Janki Chatti, the starting point of the Yamunotri trek. From Janki Chatti, you have three options to reach the Yamunotri Temple:

1. Horse ride
2. Palki (palanquin)
3. Trek

Choose your preferred mode of transportation and proceed to the temple.

Upon reaching the temple, take a holy bath in the Jamunabai Kund and offer prayers to Goddess Yamuna. The Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to the Goddess, features a stunning Black Marble Idol and is situated in the western region of the Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of 3,291 meters (10,797 ft). The temple was built in 1839 by Sundarshan Shah, the king of Terhi Gadwalat at that time.

Visit Surya Kund, a sacred spot where you can boil potatoes and rice in the hot water springs and consume them as prasad (offerings).

Adjacent to the temple lies the sacred Mahikarnika Kund, where the two holy streams of Yamuna and Ganga converge.
